Account manager

Job description

You become the trusted contact person between our client contacts and our internal organisation.

You listen to and scope the medical communication and education needs of existing clients and prospects.

You coordinate and deliver solutions with the assigned team according to agreed planning, price and the expectations of the clients.

You are responsible for the financial performance of your solutions.

Therefore you:

  • Plan, acquire and monitor internal resources and suppliers.
  • Brief and direct team members and assure quality control.
  • Monitor client satisfaction.
  • Coach and evaluate team members on the job/solutions.
  • Participate in staff evaluation and business strategy meetings.
  • Evaluate learning points at client solution delivery and provide direction for improvements.
  • Actively screen the availability of innovation for improving client solution delivery.
  • Share this information in an effective way within and outside the organisation.

You report directly to one of the managing directors.

Profile

Competence cloud Account manager

You have:

  • A paramedical background at university level (e.g. physician, pharmacist, veterinarian, biologist, biomedical sciences,…), ideally complemented with a marketing/business degree.
  • Extensive knowledge of the organisation, communication and education requirements of the pharmaceutical (biotechnology, medical device,…) industry and healthcare professional associations.
  • Knowledge of the global healthcare environment (market authorisation, health technology assessment, payers, patient associations, …).
  • Good knowledge of CMS, printed and electronic media.
  • High level marketing and sales skills.

You speak and write fluently in English.

You have a high level command of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

You worked at least 3-5 years in a (preferably international) medico-marketing position at the pharmaceutical (biotechnology, medical device,…) industry or in an account management position in a medical communication agency.

You show an above average dedication, passion, flexibility and creativity in working with our clients and your colleagues.

You show an open-minded mentality valuing transparency, trust and respect.
